The best way to solve this problem is:
1. Set your sources.list to a good mirror. That is, my
/etc/apt/sources.list has this line:
deb ftp://10.65.0.42/debian stable main contrib non-free
2. apt-get update
3. apt-get install g++
That's all! APT does all dependency resolution for you.
