For years ftp.us.debian.org has been hard to connect to; it hangs for long periods during downloads; and the download speed fluctuates wildly, like between 300 bytes per second and 300 kilobytes per second. Is everyone else having the same problem? Why isn't something done about this kicked-in-the-head server? Thanks, Toney
