Clinton got a plurality in both of his elections.

1992 42.9%
1996 49.2%

In fact, there were 3 straight elections where the winner received a
plurality.  Thank Perot and Nader for that.

Is "common sense" really valid?
For example, it is "common sense" to white-power racists that
whites are superior to blacks, and that those with brown skins
are mud people.
However, that "common sense" is obviously wrong.
