Java SIGSEV Faults

Hello,
I recently moved one of my servers from the 2.4 Kernel to 2.6 and
Java/Tomcat become very unstable with SIGSEV 11 Faults. I tried multiple Sun
and Blackdown Java versions with no change.
Does anyone know if this is a known issue, if so, is it Debian
specific (I am thinking Kernel settings)? (I could not find documented bugs
for it.)

My environment is Debian 3.1 with all security patches.
       Kernel 2.6.8-2-k7 or Kernel 2.4.27-2-k7
Java 1.4.2_09-b05 (Sun) or Java j2sdk1.4.2_04 (Sun) or Java 1.4.2_02
(Blackdown)
       Tomcat jakarta-tomcat-5.0.24

I can reboot in 2.6 as needed to recreate the error.

Thanks,

Tim
