Re: disable ethernet auto-negotiation?



its an e1000 .. according to intels website ethtool should work.. strange though cuz when i do an ethtool eth0 after setting the duplex (full), speed (1000) and autoneg (off) .. it still sez that autonegotiation is on..strange.

You can use the "post-up" interface option to run a tool for setting
the speed/duplex. Which tool? That depends. ;-)

Which type of card are you using, and which driver module?

One or more of the following tools may be able to help you:
mii-tool
mii-diag
ethtool
nictools-pci
nictools-nopci
