hello. try disconecting the dvd/cdrw from the ide. and leave only connected the hard discs. sometimes weird things happend. for example i'm having problems with 2 discs. maxtor 20GB and w.d 40GB (maxtor as primary. ide 1, w.d. primary ide 2) when i browse the files in the w.d disc the computer freezes.
