lspci != scanpci

Hi out there,

I have a Matrox Millenium and a Creator 3D Graphics boards installed,
besides the standard LSI SCSI Controler and Happy Meal Ethernet Card.

I installed Debian testing and downloaded Kernel 2.6.8-2.

when I issue scanpci I only get one PCI bus listed, which aparently has
no cards installed on the opposite lspci correctly lists all cards.
(Output of both commands in verbos form below.

The same happens with Kernel 2.6.11.2. I was not able to test with a 2.4
Kernel yet, as the oringinal installed keeps crashing since I installed
2.6.8-2.

When I start X, the Matrox graphics card stays invisible to X as it seems
to use the same functionality as scanpci does.

Could anyone help me pinpoint the problem and maybe even give a solution?

regards
	Detlef
