Wrong permissions /dev, cannot get ptys, problems starting X
I have some strange problems currently. First of all, I cannot log into
gnome as normal user; root is working OK. Also startx/xinit as normal
user is not succesful. I get an error "cannot get ptys" in these cases.
When I start X with xinit, "su user" and start gnome with gnome-session,
then everything works fine. Well almost fine, since I get some errors
about having no access to /dev/null and audio. Checking the file
permissions of /dev show why: way to much root:root at 660 (see below).
Anybody any idea?
I am using testing, uptodate. Udev is installed, and everything was
working fine, till about 2 weeks ago.
