Re: strange kernel (2.6.10) messages during boot



After many trials and errors I found that it is necessary to enable:
CONFIG_TMPFS=y
CONFIG_SERIAL_8250=y
CONFIG_SERIAL_CORE=y
in kernel .config to eliminate the errors. Note that tmpf support is also 
necessary to install udev, which gave the same "mount" error under aptitude: 
I did't find anywhere this connection between udev and tmpfs.
Since all this happened to me upgrading from woody to sarge with 2.4.24, I 
hope may help others so I posted it here.
