If you use a PS2 mouse, remove the
InputDevice "Generic Mouse"
line in your XFree config file (Section Server Layout). With 2.6, also
PS/2 mice can be accesed through /dev/input/mice additionally to /dev
psaux, and maybe the signals from the mouse are now read twice by X.
