Hi Dave

Well I understand that BT's broadband has improved but we know of a
number of people who moved due to apalling service (one was offline for
two weeks).

We use PlusNet and have implemented it for a number of clients.
Generally, they are good at communicating when problems arise and we've
not had much problem in the way of loss of service (since July 2002).
Good management of mail boxes etc.

We don't rate them too highly for webhosting although our site is hosted
there. We wouldn't recommend them for PHP/MySQL sites but would suggest
Pay as you Host, who are associated with Pay as you Go, a good value ADSL
provider.

Check out http://www.adslguide.org.uk which provides comparative data.

On the basis of "devil you know" I would recommend PlusNet

Regards

Clive
