Dude, that's why Debian is the worst choice for Linux beginners.

Your friend should have told you that.....

Go get a SuSE, Mandrake or another distribution. But that'll cost ya a
few bucks.

Or if you are to cheap for that go and d/l Knoppix but stop ranting
against things you know nothing about.

Why is it Debians fault if you have shitty burning software?? ISO is a
god damn _standard_.

Why should it? If you want this kind of stuff go and buy SuSE or
Mandrake.

Debian in its present form is very beginner unfriendly. That may change
a bit with the new installer when it is ready.

However, Debian is not meant to be installed by beginners. And your
friend should damn well know that.
