..note that most of this is not specifically for the German language
locales, it is more often multilingual and will usually depend on 
how the computers and software is set up, as in localized.

..you will want to decide what you guys want, there is sw to help you
from Kindergarten and _all_ the way up, like in http://flightgear.org/
which started as an hobby and became industry class sw, get and
_try_ ftp://ftp.flightgear.org/pub/fgfs/CD-Images/fglive_040117.iso ,
neat education and motivator tool, is set up for German by a native
German speaker ( if you accept Swiss.  ;-) )
