Nothing of any use with kernel 2.6
$ cdrecord dev=ATA -scanbus
gets you three numbers.
You want them in /etc/default/cdrecord
see $ info cdrecord
When you have putsomething like:
# drive name device speed fifosize driveropts
#
cdrw= ATA:1,1,0 -1 -1 ""
in the file, all you need is:
$ cdrecord filename
and it works. *Use that config file.* daveA
