Hi all,My ISP (without warning, on a business account) seems to have changed their mail server config to refuse null envelopes without callback.
My exim is configured (by debian) to relay via this smarthost, and doesn't accept SMTP from the net either.
So I'm getting these bounce messages on outgoing mail: Your message has encountered delivery problems to the following recipient(s):
lee_b@member.fsf.org (Was addressed to lee_b@member.fsf.org) Delivery failed 550-Callback setup failed while verifying <leeway@utvinternet.com> 550-(result of an earlier callout reused). 550-The initial connection, or a HELO or MAIL FROM:<> command was 550-rejected. Refusing MAIL FROM:<> does not help fight spam, disregards 550-RFC requirements, and stops you from receiving standard bounce 550-messages. This host does not accept mail from domains whose servers 550-refuse bounces. 550 Sender verify failed
So, as I understand it, I'm in this ironic situation of having to accept mail from the net in order to help my ISP reduce its spam.
Can someone tell me how to sort make exim work with this new ISP config? Thanks.
