kernel 2.6.0-testXX smbfs hang
Hi folks,
i have the case :
debian testing/unstable
ii smbfs 3.0.0final-1
Linux neit 2.6.0-test11
now i'm downloading huge archive of books ( at now 30GB downloaded ) on smbfs mount. On other side is winddoze 2000 server sp3.
after some time the smbfs mounts hang (all, not only target mount on which i download data).
there is no way to kill the downloader - ( downloader for X ) - I/O wait, there is no way to unmount the mountpoints.
I can force smbfs module unload but after this module load ends with "Segmentation fault"
good. and now the intresting thing ;), so when i switch to 2.4 [ Linux pc 2.4.22-pre7 ] the case is clear. e.g no hangs.
i try to minimize the concurent connections for download - 1 active - 2.6 smbfs hangs again, on 2.4 i download with 30 paralel connections and there is no problem.
here is the smbfs alert on 2.6 :
Nov 24 10:38:34 pc kernel: SMB connection re-established (-5)
Nov 24 10:38:34 pc kernel: smb_errno: class ERRSRV, code 91 from command 0x32
and the hang :
Nov 23 05:12:42 pc kernel: smb_open: OReilly/.OReilly.-.VB_&_VBA_In_A_Nutshell.ShareReactor.pdf.segments open failed, result=-2
Nov 23 05:48:24 pc kernel: smb_open: Unsorted/.security_planning_&_disaster_recovery_nofearlevent.pdf.segments open failed, result=-2
Nov 23 05:48:58 pc kernel: smb_open: VB.net/.O'Reilly VB & VBA nutshell.pdf.segments open failed, result=-2
