I'm told that Wacky Willy's in Hillsboro, OR has them, as well,
somewhere among the glass tubes, nixie tubes, oscilloscopes, broken
brake parts off GE engines. No mail order, they're walking distance
of the Orenco Station on the MAX Blue Line.

Rail fans on the list may be interested that I spotted two new 2004
Siemens LRV-3's in the new TriMet colors on my way out to a friend's
this evening. TriMet was doing an aquisition run, with two cars (301
and 302) with no interiors (all lighting panels open, no seats in it,
not even handrails in 302). Looks like the LRV-3's will have the 300
series numbers. Must be tourist season: Despite both cars fairly
obviously not yet suited for public use, and signs on the windshields
and all the doors saying "TEST RUN - NOT IN SERVICE," people were
still pounding on the (not lit) DOOR OPEN buttons while it waited for
the signal...
