I cd'd to the top of my kernel source and did 'make dep' before building the
nvidia kernel. That seemed to get past that particular hangup, next you may
encounter a problem if your gcc version doesn't match the one your kernel was
compiled with. You can set an env variable to bypass that if the version
difference is not that big, CC_IGNOREsomething...
