I'd say it should be something like

poll pop.planet.nl with proto POP3 user 'jorishuizer@planet.nl',
with password '*******', is 'joris' here

You filled in your SMTP-server, but your POP3/IMAP-server is
required to fetch your mail; the last part should be your name as a
local user.
