a problem with the selection of the flavour

hello, i`ve got a little matter with the selection of the correct flavour
for my computer. i`ve read the differences between all the flavours but i
don´t know what can be the correct one for me. i`m starting in this world
and i`m a little lost.
i haven´t got scsi and pcmcia components. my computer is:
k7-1200Mhz
mainboard: k7ama
graphic card: NVIDIA GForce2 MX 100/200 64MB
sound card: is in the mainboard, it uses the AC97 Codec
HD: ide, 40GB
CDROM: 52X
recorder: (toaster) "i haven`t found the correct word in the dictionary" LG
8x 4x 32x, also
           ide.
internet conexion: 56k modem extern

i know all my hardware can be use with linux without matter.
