Net configuration problem (with MP)

Hi,

I'm trying to install debian on a dual Athlon box.

Everything works fine except I can't reach the network...

The ethernet card is recognized using the dmfe driver (loaded as
module).

I can ping localhost.

But when I try to ping the gateway (10.0.0.138, dsl modem) or any other
machine on the network, I only get this error message :

eth0 : Tx timeout - resetting

The same network configuration, on the same network cable work on an
other debian (ppc) box. So I think it might have to do with SMP support
conflicting with my ethernet card ?? I also have a RealTek 8139C
available for installation, if that might help.

Any help would be greatly appreciated !

Thanks,

Franck
