(SOLVED, BUT...) My custom kernel doesnt boot

Hello Good Samaritans,
about a weel or 2 back I had posted a message to this effect, thanks
to ur suggestions I realised that I was not copyint the bzImage form
*my* arch. After setting that right, I am successful in booting with
the new kernel. I have enabled support for frambuffer as well as i810.
You can see the /var/log/messages below - it says that

Jul 21 06:43:02 Sachin kernel: PCI: PCI BIOS revision 2.10 entry at
0xfb180
Jul 21 06:43:02 Sachin kernel: PCI: Using configuration type 1

Chipset.
Jul 21 06:43:02 Sachin kernel: agpgart: AGP aperture is 64M @

So my i810 mobo is now recognised, but still I am not able to run X;
there is error, I have sent the output of startx at the bottom, if you
spot something missing here, can yo pls tell me what to do to make
xfree 3.3.6 work with i810 mobo ?

SVGA, as u can c is not recognising the chipset, even though kernel
has recognised it; is there any workaroud or something ?
I dont have resources to upgrade to Xfree 4.1.x or download sources
for ver 3.3.6 & compile agpgart module from it ( as adviced by nate in
a previous post.) 'Cause I am stuck with winmodem.

Also the tux logo that I get at boot time becomes discolored while
booting half way through, I think its mode is getting set to lower
resolution somehow; Is there anything that can be done to set this
right ?

Thanks.

Sachin
