Actually, IIRC the transparencies found in Eterm and KDE still aren't
"true" transparency (although they do provide a suitable illusion). The
terminals are still just grabbing a screenshot instead of actually
creating an alpha surface in hardware. (Although I suppose this doesn't
matter to the average user).
