Ahh, this is your lucky day. I've just three evenings getting this
same card to work in my box. I got that silly msg to. Don't know what
it meant really but I managed to get both of my outputs (CRT/TV)
working with the matroxtv utiliy found under TVout in the mplayer
source tree.
