I believe it means that that part of /etc/network/interfaces was
automatically added when upgrading ifupdown. See
/usr/share/ifupdown/upgrade-from-0.5.x.pl, which is run by ifupdown's
postinst.
It doesn't mean that the *interface* is added when upgrading.
