I believe this list is geared towards discussion and usage of debian
linux, so your comment on Redhat might go heard better on a Redhat
mailing list.  Many users haven't used Redhat in so long they wouldn't
understand what you're referring to (if you would have mentioned a
version number of Redhat that you're using).

Are you implying that consumers are novices? (ducks and runs away)

As with anything in life, make sure that you know what you're doing
before you do it.  This usually involves some research on the topic.
Like I said earlier, feedback on this topic might be better suited for a
Redhat mailing list.

Yes, it does (last time I installed it).  Sometimes I don't have a
floppy around at the time.  I usually install debian with floppies, and
it has a rescue function built in.  Or tomsrtbt is very good as well.
