Interesting idea, another way that might be simpler to implement is to
put a shell script on a web server you control, and in your
/etc/ppp/ip-up.d/ put a script that downloads and runs the remote
script... something like
sh `lynx -source http://somesite/shellscript.sh`
you could of course also put some encryption and authentication as well
and do something like
sh `lynx -auth username:pass -source https://somesite/shellscript.sh`
or some more complicated thing of your own devising
