What does it get changed to?  Are you using ppp?  If so did you configure
ppp with pppconfig?  If so, what did you select in "Configure
Nameservers"?

I had this problem and I stopped it by disabling the scripts/etc/ppp/ip-up.d/0dns-up and /etc/ppp/ip-down.d/0dns-down
