package changes or disk corruption?
I ran dselect today and did an update. Been about 2 weeks since I did
so. Afterwards, it reported:

446 packages upgraded, 117 newly installed, 105 to remove and 36 not upgraded.
Need to get 241MB of archives. After unpacking 68.5MB will be used.
I didn't do any of this, and still want all those packages installed, and
am pretty sure some of the packages listed as new are already
installed. What happened?!?!?!?
Did something major change in the available packages, or did my disk get
corrupted?
How can I "fix" this?
