Mutliple IP addresses on single interface

I am trying to get two IP addresses on eth0, and I am not having much
luck. It works properly if I use:

/sbin/ifconfig eth0:0 192.168.0.5

and here is my /etc/network/interfaces:

# /etc/network/interfaces -- configuration file for ifup(8), ifdown(8)

# The loopback interface
auto lo
iface lo inet loopback

# The first network card - this entry was created during the Debian
# installation
# (network, broadcast and gateway are optional)
auto eth0
iface eth0 inet static
        address 192.168.0.4
        netmask 255.255.255.0
        network 192.168.0.0
        broadcast 192.168.0.255
        gateway 192.168.0.2

iface eth0:0 inet static
        address 192.168.0.5
        netmask	255.255.255.0
        network 192.168.0.0
	broadcast 192.168.0.255
	gateway	192.168.0.2

But the interface will not up with the 2nd IP at reboot. Any
suggestions? I can always add the ifconfig line to a script I guess...
