Do you like vi?  If so, stick vim (or gvim) on your system and use it
:-).  It has full support for (re)wrapping lines and maintaining quote
leaders too.  (hint: 'gq<motion>')  The only downside, with your
current mailer, is the need to copy-n-paste back and forth to the
editor.
