# chown root:mail /usr/bin/mutt_dotlock
# chmod 2755 /usr/bin/mutt_dotlock
Should fix your problem - a recent upgrade of mutt messed some things
up.  It's not locking the mailbox properly because of permission
problems on these files.  If you do the above as root, it should fix
it.
