Thanks for your response.
Won't this be global to all instances of the applications. I am concerned
about pretty generic stuff.
4 xterms, each in particular positions (workspace 5)
gnome-terminal, in a particular position (workspace 1)
gqmpeg, various startup options (workspace 2)
eterm, ditto (workspace 2)
You get the idea. I tend to use a lot of xterm, eterms, etc. They are
started all the time. I don't want to pin them to a particular workspace
forever.
