apt-question

Hi,

I have run into a problem doing apt-get updates. While I don't think this a
Debian problem directly, this appears to be the best place to start
looking.

I don't think that the problem lies with apt. I have the problem on a Sparc
box (SparcStation 1+) as well as an i386 (AMD K6-2/450). Here is what I
get.

I start the apt-get update, and get:

Hit http://non-us.debian.org woody/non-US/non-free Sources
Hit http://non-us.debian.org woody/non-US/non-free Release
Err http://http.us.debian.org woody/main Packages
Error reading from server Remote end closed connection

After it fails, starting it again gives me:

Hit http://non-us.debian.org woody/non-US/non-free Sources

Error reading from server Remote end closed connection
Ign http://http.us.debian.org woody/main Release

Any idea what is causing this?

Regards,
