Yep.  As I said, I haven't looked seriously at it.  (Like do I need to
put anything into /dev/dri?  Do I need to use devfs?  Is the kernel mad
at me for building MGA/AGP stuff into the kernel instead of a module?
[I had some USB modules refuse to work when usbcore was built into the
kernel...])

I might play with it more tonight and see just what's can cause the
'drmOpen failed' part.
