That sounded like a really good idea, so I upgraded ppp and pppconfig to
the potato versions. I got ppp-pam installed in addition.

After I redid the configuration for both of the ISPs and this time I
noticed the separate nameserver information for each ISP (cool!), but pon
started to segfault with:

/usr/bin/pon: line 2:  1890 Segmentation fault /usr/sbin/pppd call ${1:-provider}
Exit 139


I don't know much about shell scripts so I didn't bother debugging the
above problem. I dug up my Debian-2.1 CDs and reinstalled the slink version
of ppp*.deb.

At least I have a working ppp setup now!!
