    Joakim:: I am currently using rxvt. (What term do
    Joakim:: you all use ? and why? )

I have two reasons to use wterm: I like transparent backgrounds in my
terminals, and the NeXT style scrollbar is the one I like most.
That's coherent with using WindowMaker, too.

    Joakim:: The default settings on rxvt isn't very
    Joakim:: nice and I want to add a scrollbar,
    Joakim:: history, font, size etc
    Joakim:: What is the prefered way to do this globally?
    Joakim:: I want to create as much "good" defaults as
    Joakim:: possible and minimize user aliases etc.

You should do it in your $HOME/.Xdefaults file. Mine, for instance,
looks like that (wrt wterm):

wterm*foreground: white
wterm*background: blue3
wterm*saveLines: 800
wterm*cursorColor: white
wterm*transparent: true
wterm*shade: true
wterm*termName: linux
