Re: No puedo cambiar resolución de pantalla



Me compre un ordenador con un disco duro SSD con partición GPT en Windows 10 y UEFI y yo no tenia la mas remota idea de que el UEFI lo ponía Microsoft porque no quiere otro sistema operativo en sus maquinas con windows instalado. Bueno trasteando en la (bios) UEFI tuve que quitar las calves y deshabilitar el “arranque seguro” aún así no podía instalar el debian 8 LTS y me baje el debian 8.8 y me fue de maravilla.
Ahora tengo miedo de instalar el último kernel ya que la comunidad debianita dice que el debian 9 que saldrá pronto de momento no soportara el UEFI
Que kernel me aconsejáis que sea compatible con mi bios/UEFI?

En tu comando xrandr debe aparecer el nombre del dispositivo. En el ejemplo de la pagina es  LDVS1, ese dato lo obtienes de un xrandr sin mas. Por ejemplo en tu caso VGA debe ser VGA0 o VGA1 quizás.

Siento haber usado el cortador.
Ahora ve la resolucón 1920x1080

:~$ xrandr

pero cuando llego: "Y añadimos el modo creado a la tarjeta conectada que en este caso es LVDS1" a mi no me sale ningún (LVDS1) ni nada parecido...
probando:
:~$ xrandr --addmode LVDS1 1920x1080_60.00
xrandr: Failed to get size of gamma for output default
xrandr: cannot find output "LVDS1"

no puedo cambiar resolución de pantalla

Gestor de escritorio es ubuntu
Distro Debian GNU/Linux 8 (jessie) 64-bit
Grafica Gallium 0.4 on llvmpipe (LLVM 3.5, 256 bits)

El comando xrandr sólo me da para 1024 x 768 y la mia es 1920 1080

Siquiendo este tutorial http://bit.ly/2qUrNbf al crear el xorg.conf i reiniciar me quede sin X al eliminarlo me volvierón las Xs

Alguna sugerencia....
