Buenas noches, Lista Debian. Les voy a contar algo que me sucedió, como lo solucioné y el problema que tengo. Lo que me sucedió le interesaría a las personas con el mismo chip de video y el problema para que alguien me ayude.

Mi tarjeta de video es el chip que se menciona arriba, sin embargo, por falta de conocimiento y por desesperación le instalé modulos ATI, para acceder a la aceleración gráfica. Luego me mostraba Violación de Segmento por digitar glxinfo, glxgear, fglrx_info, etc....
Bueno, volví una etc. mi pobre Debian. Pregunté algunas cosas y 2 personas de esta lista me hicieron caer en cuenta del error y removí todo donde estuviese fglrx y ATI (Hasta Kernel instalé).
luego hice un apt-get install xserver-xorg-video-intel. Y fue el CAOS COMPLETO. Me quedé sin Entorno gráfico un día completo tratando de hallar el problema. Hice apt-get upgrade y se restablecieron las X. pero sólo servía el botón de predindo y apagado del portatil y nada más (que locura).
Me tocó navegar por linea de comandos les dejo el nombre de las aplicaciones con que pueden hacer esto (lynx, w3c y w3m); el último me pareció mejor.
Al final lo solucioné eliminando los paquetes que contenían dependencias, removiendo xserver-xorg y volviéndolo a instalar. me quedó bien.
Ahora y desde hace lo que quiero hacer es que el $%&# direct rendering me diga SÍ. y no direct rendering: No (If you want to find out why, try setting LIBGL_DEBUG=verbose).
He cambiado mi archivo /etc/X11/xorg.conf, aproximadamente 50 veces, creo que más. He seguido los siguientes links:

Y muchos links más y nada de nada, no quiero desistir en la causa, soy un seguidor del software libre y quiero simplemente promocionarle a través de los ojos también, ya que es una de las cosas que prefieren los usuarios promedios.

Ya tengo instalado compiz y fusion-icon pero no funcionan. Al cargar fusion-icon se desaparecen los titulos de las ventanas y se vuelve dificil la administración del sistema y YA.
