Das ging mir auch so.

Ich weiß nicht mehr, woher der folgende Schnipsel stammt (man-page,
Usenet, Emacs-Website, o.ä? Folgender Rat half jedenfalls bei mir):
| How can I modify the fonts of Emacs?
|
| To change the default fonts size of Emacs, you would need to add a
| line similar to the following one to your .Xresources file. (If you
| don't already have this file, you can create a new one with just
| the one line.)
|
| emacs.font: 10x20
|
| You just need to replace 10x20 with the font size you have selected.
| Some of the available fonts are:
| 5x7 5x8 6x10 6x12 6x13 7x13 7x14 8x13 8x16 9x15 10x20 12x24
Ciao,
