hdparm ist ganz ok, aber das (fuer mich)
wichtigste fehlt, naemlich welche rev das laufwerk
hat: a, b oder c.

hast du noch eine andere idee?

IDE:
 hdparm -i /dev/hdX

SCSI:
 scsiinfo -a /dev/scdX

allgemein:
 cdrecord -scanbus  und dann  cdrecord dev=0,1,0
-v -checkdrive
