Great, it works now. Add me to your list of people for whom it works!
The only problem I have know is that on startup, StarOffice pops a dialog
saying
"Error opening document /usr/share/Office50/bin/soffice.bin:
Nonexistent object.
Filter not found."
I click OK, and everthing works fine.
