the ipmasq package installs firewall rules

the firewall does not permit you to ping through the ppp interface
Purge and reinstall the ipmasq package, then answer "yes" to whether it
should recompute firewall rules when PPP link is up (or touch
/etc/ipmasq/ppp, which does the same, I think)
