I am having problems with my tty's. For some reason, most of my tty's, except tty1, are slow to recycle after logout. Tty3 is especially slow, and sometimes doesn't recycle at all. It just hangs and I get an error message every 5minutes that says: INIT: Id "3" respawning too fast: disabled for 5 minutes I can't deallocvt the tty because it says tty3 is busy. I have also tried manually running getty on tty3 and even changing runlevels, both to no avail. I am running the getty in util-linux version 2.12-6 in Debian unstable. Does anyone know how I can fix this problem once it occurs, and more importantly, how I can keep it from even happening? Thanks for any help, PRINCE
