When you dial up, can you ping any sites by name? by number? If you can ping by number but not by name, you need to look at /etc/resolv.conf. If you can't ping even by number, disconnect, run "plog -f", then reconnect and watch the results of the plog command for clues. Alternatively, look in /var/log/ppp.log and/or /var/log/syslog for clues.
