Not that I have noticed, but I am not running the stock mkisofs. In
my search for cdr softwre, I found cdrtools. This is a package of cd
software from the author of cdrecord, Jörg Schilling. He has rewritten
mkisofs, as well as other tools. You might find the answer to your
question at ftp//fokus.gmd.de/pub/unix/cdrecord/. There's also a
http:// site but I can't seem to locate the URL right now.
