Package: tex-common
Version: 0.7
Severity: minor

Hi all,

just some minor things same to my attention in 0.7. Dunno if they're
fixed in SVN:

1. hille@preusse:~ $ dpkg-deb -c tex-common_0.7_all.deb |grep \.svn
drwxr-xr-x root/root 0 2005-08-24 17:18:05
./usr/share/tex-common/texmf.cnf.md5sum.d/.svn/

AFAIK these should be removed at least during build.

2. hille@preusse:~ $ dpkg-deb -c tex-common_0.7_all.deb |grep -i Pol|grep pdf

We do build the pdf version of the policy during build, but we don't
install it into the final package.

3. tetex-base has a BD on tex-common. tex-common has a BD on
tetex-extra. Even if we remove the first, tetex-base can't be
installed without tex-common. That makes it impossible to build the
TeX system completely from the sources. While this is not really a
bug it is undesirable.
A solution would be not to build the pdf version of the Policy (or
check if tetex-extra is there and not build if not).
I don't know if we should solve that and just want to put it into
discussion.

 .
   * tex-common should only Suggest debhelper, not Depend on it. It would
pull in too many dev packages for every normal user. [preining]
   * Fix the syntax of some eval statements in the config script (closes:
     #336951) [frank]
   * In postinst, create nonexistent ls-R files with proper magic content
if they are not already present (closes: #337073) [frank]
   * The config script was not idempotent, and reset the debconf default
for group writable ls-R files on a fresh install. [frank]
   * Remove the ls-R symlink in TEXMFLOCAL, thanks to Lars Wirzenius
     <liw@iki.fi> (closes: #333308). [frank]
   * Check for leftover .svn directories during build (closes: #327785)
     [frank]
   * Add the md5sum of a version with a newer comment to the list of known
     md5sums for 00updmap.cfg (closes: #336713) [frank]
   * fix installation of debhelper snippet postrm-texfonts. [preining]
   * actually allow multiple invocations of dh_installtexfonts and
stop with error if a cfg file is installed several times. [preining]
