Package: tetex-bin
Version: 1.0.7+20011202-7
Severity: normal

if the editor command returns a non-null-exit-value, xdvi crashes saying
 util.c:940: print_child_error: Assertion buf_new_size != 0' failed.

Easiest way to try is

XEDITOR='/bin/false' xdvi  file.dvi

and then hit ctrl-mouse-1
