Bug#102384: postinst error with existing /usr/share/texmf/web2c dir
Package: tetex-bin
Version: 1.0.6-7
Severity: minor
There was already a directory /usr/share/texmf/web2c from an
incomplete old tetex installation.
tetex-bin.postinst of tetex-bin (1.0.6-7) makes sure that files in
the directory /usr/lib/texmf/web2c are copied to
/var/lib/texmf/web2c before creating the symlink in
/usr/share/texmf, I think it should also copy files from
/usr/share/texmf/web2c and remove this directory.
To reproduce:
Remove tetex-bin
Create a directory /usr/share/texmf/web2c
Install tetex-bin
Error message:
Setting up tetex-bin (1.0.6-7) ...
ln: /usr/share/texmf//web2c: cannot overwrite directory
dpkg: error processing tetex-bin (--configure):
subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 1
