No, no.  I'm sorry if I offended you -- that really wasn't the
intention.  Yes, the naming of the internal fields is slightly
confusing, but I still don't believe that most new users would be
either looking at the detailed dependency fields or the output of
apt-cache.  Nevertheless, I agree that things could be made a little
clearer, either by versioning the Replaces or by leaving out any
mention of tetex-base in the Description field.

And my experience is that very rarely do I get a response from a DD
that I'm being stupid.
